1.        Depending upon location of the building, there may be bonuses or incentives for sustainable efforts such as efficient energy, water use or innovative strategies.

2.        A sustainable building says your clients care about the environment that we all live in.

3.        A lot of design choices are already environmentally friendly.

4.        Building shape and orientation can lower energy costs with no added costs.

5.        Going green upfront is cheaper than “tacking on” green efforts later on.

6.        Diligent monitoring and building commissioning can reduce operation costs significantly.

7.        Cleaning up indoor air quality through low/no-VOC products and aptly designed ventilation systems can create a healthy working environment and reduce sick-building syndrome.

8.        Using a construction waste reduction plan can save hauling costs as well as saving space in landfills.

9.        Effectively designed sustainable landscaping can save natural resources in addition to saving utility costs.

10.     It’s not only the hottest growing trend in construction--It’s the right thing to do!
