C is for cats who climb the Christmas tree each year.
H is for hugs, which fill us up with cheer.
R is for resolutions we make but cannot keep.
I is for incredible, which describes our cats' many feats.
S is for squeak, the mouse we can't get rid of, my dear.
T is for turkey, the one mother burned again this year.
M is for mother, the best Santa of them all.
A is for angel, the one that got me that career.
S is for spirit, the one that's in the wall.

D is for dangerous, that describes last year's fruit cake.
I is for immaculate, which describes our cousin Kate.
N is for not again, the cats are in the falling tree.
N is for never mind, we'll fix the tree later, Aunt Dee.
E is for edible, maybe this year's fruit cake is different.
R is for rest, after we sleep we'll clean our teeth with Efferdent.
